AI engineering assessment
For leaders who know AI matters, but can't tell what has actually changed, or what it would take to let agents do more of the work.
What we look at
- How work moves from idea to production today, and how predictably
- Delivery health: lead time, quality, and how safely you can ship
- Which AI tools are in use, by whom, and to what effect
- Standards for review, testing, and what's safe to ship
- Security, data privacy, and compliance: what the tools can see, and where it goes
- Skills, roles, and how the teams are organized
- How ready you are for agents to take on real work
What you get
A written assessment, a 90-day plan showing what to change first and who's responsible, and a working session with your leaders to decide where to start.
This works best when a senior leader can open doors across engineering and act on what we find.
The fee is fixed once we've agreed the scope. For complex environments, a short paid discovery comes first.
Other ways to work together
One to three days a week, from three months
Fractional AI transformation lead
I work inside your team to lead the change: fixing delivery basics, coaching your leaders, setting workflows and standards, and building toward agents that do real work. Also available as a fractional CTO.
Typically one to two weeks
Technology decision review
An independent look at one decision, such as an AI platform or vendor, a rebuild, or a key hire, with a clear recommendation and the reasoning behind it.
Where is your team with AI?
A short note about your team and what you're trying to change is enough to start.
