What I do

  • Fix the delivery basics first: flow, testing, deployment, and clear ownership
  • Coach your engineering leaders and teams through the change
  • Set the workflows, standards, and guardrails for AI-assisted development, including what data the tools can see
  • Build the foundations agents need: clear specifications, tests, review, and safe ways to ship
  • Reshape teams and roles where the old shape no longer fits
  • Set goals, track outcomes, and report them plainly to you and your board
  • Help you hire a permanent leader when the time comes

How it works

  • Term: three months to start, with two to four agreed outcomes; month to month after that
  • Commitment: one to three days a week, agreed up front
  • Notice: 30 days either way
  • By agreement: managing people, leading hiring, owning delivery of a specific project, or hands-on build work
  • Not included: on-call, incident response, or running production systems

Also available as a fractional CTO, for wider technology leadership on the same terms.

How the change sticks

  1. See it honestly

Measure how work flows today, who uses AI well, and where it gets in the way.

  2. Prove it in one team

Change the workflow end to end in one team, on real work, before asking everyone to follow.

  3. Set the standards

Turn what worked into shared practice: review, testing, guardrails, and what's safe to ship.

  4. Spread it and keep improving

Roll it out team by team, set goals and track outcomes, and help your managers lead the work themselves.

Where is your team with AI?

A short note about your team and what you're trying to change is enough to start.
